What cookies are
Small files or local storage entries that a site or its partners save in your browser. This page covers both cookies and similar technologies such as localStorage.
1. Preferences and examples (no consent needed)
These entries are created by an action of yours, only serve the function you asked for and never leave your browser:
- atlas-theme: the theme you chose (light or dark).
- atlas-lang: the interface language you chose.
- atlas-progress: the lessons you marked as complete and the last one you opened. You can delete it with “Reset progress” on the home page.
- atlas-interview: the interview questions you marked as known.
- atlas-todos, atlas-effect-demo-note, atlas.hex.tasks, atlas.hex.contract: the data you enter in some live examples, only if you use them.
None of them expires on its own; they stay until you delete them.
2. Advertising (only with your consent)
- Google AdSense and Google’s consent platform set cookies from Google domains (for example google.com, doubleclick.net or googlesyndication.com). They serve and measure ads, limit how often an ad repeats, help prevent fraud and, if you agree, personalise ads. They also remember your consent choice.
Audience statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) use no cookies, according to Cloudflare. We use no other analytics or tracking cookies of our own.
Consent
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message from Google’s certified consent management platform appears on your first visit. You can accept, refuse or choose, and advertising cookies are used only according to your choice. You can change or withdraw it at any time with the button below or the link “Privacy and cookie settings” in the side menu.
How to delete the data
From your browser settings you can delete cookies and site data. Deleting the theme or language resets it to the default.
